21/10/2008 15:41“Teaching radio broadcasting has never been easier or more rewarding." Nigel Vernon.
These were the words of Nigel Vernon in the last issue of our education newsletter when discussing Synergy and the impact it can have on teaching in the curriculum.
Nigel has taken that a step forward and has joined the team as consultant and trainer for Synergy. Nigel has over 7 years experience with the BBC working as both a broadcaster and Producer. Nigel has a wealth of experience in broadcasting and teaching and was key to implementing the BTEC National Diploma in Media at the Tresham Institute in Northampton.
"The new Creative and Media Diploma looks set to break the mould on traditional courses of study and I envisage that our new radio suite will be highly sought after by many faculties here at the college. Focusing on creativity, process and skills the new qualification works flexibly, tailoring to the institutions strengths across a diverse sector."
"Synergy seems to fully understand what is required within academia and has produced an all-encompassing studio package that will give my students the extra advantage when progressing into higher levels of study or directly into the industry."
Nigel has been busy already visiting high schools, colleges and academies accross the country training on Synergy and implementing radio in the curriculum. All Synergy trainers have a wealth of broadcast and teaching knowledge helping to give your school the best start with Synergy.
